Soothe Healthcare conducted an awareness session for 22 ASHA workers in Pune on 28th April.
Accredited Social Health Activists are community health workers trained to work as an interface between the community and the public health system. The ASHA workers form a crucial link in the system that delivers government health services to rural women and monitors their well-being. The ASHA workers are educated each year on various subjects like maternal and new-born health, malaria, TB, HIV etc.
In this session, our Community Program Associates provided the ASHA workers with detailed information on Menstrual Hygiene and Health Management (MHM). The ASHAs were very positive about the session and went away optimistic that they’ll be able to offer rural women better inputs on MHM.
